Ceph RBD Backup & Recovery Best Practices

Date:

28th April, 2021

Speakers:

Marcin Kubacki, CSA at Storware

Description:

This time we focus on the best backup and recovery practices for Ceph RBD. While Ceph has a built-in replication mechanism, it may not be possible for you to duplicate your infrastructure – backup is, in this case, essential. Please note that vProtect has become part of Storware Backup and Recovery since 2022. Find out more about how we improved our solution at https://storware.eu/why-storware/

With Storware vProtect v4, we introduced Storage Providers as a new source type, focusing on storage data protection (instead of VM-centric or App-centric approach). We started adding support for Ceph RBD, plain file systems, and Nutanix Files (AFS).

Dlaczego Software-Defined Storage to najlepszy wybór dla backupu i archiwizacji?

Date:

19th November, 2020

Speakers:

Jarosław Biniek, Presales Engineer at SUSE Polska

Marcin Kubacki, CSA at Storware

Description:

20th August, 2020

Speakers:

Zbigniew Parys, Solution Architect at Red Hat

Paweł Mączka, CTO, VP at Storware

Description:

It’s time to discover SDS (Software-defined Storage) in which Ceph is gaining more and more popularity. The solution is trendy for a reason, as it enables cooperation with such solutions as OpenStack, OpenShift / OKD or KVM / QEMU. It also provides many ways to access stored resources.
