It’s all about automation and protection in multivendor hybrid IT architectures
2 weeks ago I participated in 1-day technical workshop, where my friends from Storware and Red Hat sat down and discussed the potential integration and future cooperation (CloudForms + vProtect).
I arrived and heard: Pawel, it’s good you are back – we have just finished the integration and 1st phase of testing !!
Then my colleagues explained to me the strength of both products’ API integration.
Result – Red Hat CloudForms + Red Hat Virtualization + Storware vProtect = Orchestration, Virtualization, Data Protection in one consistent platform!
PROOF – We’ve prepared a short movie and put on youtube.
WHAT IS RED HAT CLOUDFORMS?
“Red Hat #CloudForms offers customers a unique vendor-agnostic platform for automating self-service provisioning and workload life-cycle management across hybrid multivendor virtualized, private cloud, public cloud, and container-based environments.” – IDC White Paper | The Business Value of Red Hat CloudForms
CAN I AUTOMATE BACKUP & RESTORE WHEN USING CLOUDFORMS AND RHV VIRTUALIZATION BELOW?
YES – you sure do !! vProtect technology with RESTful API allows you to customize CloudForms to full provision, monitor and report backup & restore features.
WHEN SHOULD I CONSIDER TO USE THIS INTEGRATION?
If you are Customer, Partner, Managed Service Provider (MSP) who _uses are looking for risk mitigation (data loss, business continuity, disaster recovery challenges).
