Pizza Contest for International Pizza Day
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE CONTEST
“Pizza contest: suggest a pizza name for IT geeks and win a t-shirt”
1. GENERAL CONDITIONS
1.1. The organiser of the competition is Storware Sp. z o.o., ul. Leszno 8/44, 01-192 Warsaw
2. COMPETITION DURATION
2.1. The competition will run from 9.02.2021 until 23.59 on 14.02.2021.
3. COMPETITION PARTICIPANTS
3.1. Competition participants must be adult physical persons with full legal capacity who are consumers within the meaning of Article 22 (1) of the Act of 023 April 1964 Civil Code (Journal of Laws 1964, No. 16, item 93 as amended).
4. COMPETITION RULES
4.1. The condition for taking part in the competition is answering the task: ‘Think of the strangest/most original name for your favourite pizza, describe the ingredients used to make it and send us your answer.’ Answers must be sent via the form available on the website: https://storware.eu/pizza-day/. Sending an application means that the person becomes a competition participant (‘participant’).
4.2. By sending a photograph, the competition participant declares that the work submitted to the competition is of the participant’s authorship and that they have full author’s rights to such work.
4.3. When selecting the winners, the organisers will only take into consideration applications sent within the time period defined in §2.1 of these competition rules. The criteria taken into consideration in selection of the winners are the originality and creativity of the answers. The jury will choose ten equal winners.
4.4. The competition prizes are 10 T-shirts. Each of the winners will receive one T-shirt with the slogan In Backup We Trust.
4.5. A jury consisting of representatives of the organiser will ensure that the correct competition procedures are followed.
4.6. The winners will be informed of the competition results by email or telephone, and information about the winners will be published 7 days after the end of the competition, that is on the 22nd February, on the Storware FB and LinkedIn profiles: https://www.facebook.com/storware/ | https://www.linkedin.com/company/storware/
4.7. A participant can take part in the competition multiple times, but can only receive one prize during the competition time period.
4.8. Only those applications that reach the organiser within the competition time period defined in point 2.1 and which fulfil the conditions of the competition rules will take part in the competition.
4.9. Prizes will be sent to the winners by courier or via the Polish Post Office (Poczta Polska) to the address sent by the winners to the organisers via private email.
5. PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
5.1. Personal data necessary for conducting this competition will be gathered and processed by the organiser in accordance with the provisions of the Act of 10 May 2018 on the protection of personal data, and regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of physical persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing directive 95/46/EC. The rules for the processing and protection of personal data by the organiser are available in the organiser’s Privacy Policy and published on the website www.storware.eu on the ‘Privacy Policy’ tab.
5.2 By sending a competition application, the participant accepts the competition rules described in these regulations.
5.3. The participant agrees to the sending of commercial information via electronic means of communication, in particular by email in accordance with the act of 18 July 2002 – on providing services via electronic means (Journal of Laws no. 144 item 1204 from 2002 with later amendments).
5.4. The controller of participants’ personal data provided for the purposes of conducting the competition is Storware Sp. z o.o., ul. Leszno 8/44, 01-192 Warsaw. 6. PRIZES
6.1. The competition prizes are 10 T-shirts with the slogan In Backup We Trust.
6.3. Prizes cannot be exchanged for other prizes or for their cash equivalent.
6.4. Daily prizes with a value of up to PLN 760 are exempt from personal income tax pursuant to Article 21 paragraph 1 point 68 of the Personal Income Tax Act of 26 July 1991 (uniform text, Journal of Laws No. 14, item 176).
6.5. Any tax obligations arising from the receipt of competition prizes lie with the competition organisers.
7. DELIVERY OF PRIZES
7.1. Prizes will be sent to the winners within 14 days of the results being announced, on condition that the winners contact the organisers within 5 days of the announcement of the competition results.
8. OTHER PROVISIONS
8.1. Participation in the competition is voluntary.
8.2 The organiser reserves the right to remove applications containing content that is vulgar or that incites to violence, or that contains advertising for another firm.
8.3. If irregularities are detected within the duration of the competition resulting from abuse on the part of the participant, in particular regarding breach of the competition regulations, the organiser has the right to irrevocably exclude the given participant from the competition.
8.4. The organiser retains the right to entrust organisational, administrative and other duties related to the competition to subcontractors of the organiser.
8.5. This competition is not a game of chance or raffle, nor does it involve mutual betting or a promotional lottery, the outcome of which depends on chance (by conducting a draw) within the meaning of Article 2 of the Act of 29 July 1992 on games and mutual betting (Journal of Laws No. 68, item 341 as amended).
8.6. Competition participants cannot be workers employed by Storware Sp. z o.o. or related companies, or people involved in preparing and conducting the competition, including members of the competition committee.
